Tuition/lectures

Jon Edgar is currently contributing to the Graduate Diploma/MA Sculpture programme at West Dean College (University of Sussex accredited) and the Fine Art BA programme at UCA (University for the Creative Arts) Canterbury.

27-30 June – Improvisation and sculpture: a course using clay introducing the techniques devised by Alan Thornhill, which will enable you to consider building larger clay sculptures without recourse to a metal or wood armature. (3 days)

26-29 Aug - Portrait head in Clay (intensive – two models over two days, ‘three starts’; a visual rather than anatomical approach seeking to build a formal equivalent)

18-20 Oct – Introduction to Sculpture (2 days)

3 Nov – single day on portraiture skills at Yorkshire Sculpture Park – please contact for details
